Public Statement of the Libertarian Students Front on the attacks on technical education
by the Government of the Autonomous City of Buenos Aires. ---- Today students and teachers
of technical guidance schools suffer a direct attack by the Government of the Autonomous
City of Buenos Aires, Mauricio Macri led. This attack is none other than the modification
of curricula, eliminating specific guidance materials, and adding Human Studies, which
have nothing to do with the ultimate aim of technical colleges. Let us not forget that in
no way change curricula, not only modifies curricula and materials within workload, but
also eliminates the night shift and replace it with one evening. All these changes, and
others, which brings get this change in the curriculum, the need to be framed in a broader
context than just the technical colleges.
This is part of a systematic plan of Government Mauricio Macri economically and
intellectually draining the teaching and learning spaces (this means, empty the contents
of the materials and curricula).
Schools are emptying. Importantly, these changes not only affect us as students, but also
affect the teachers, adding hours of work or otherwise removing their original positions.
Therefore, we believe it is vitally important to work together with teachers, working not
only in the layout of fair curricula in which respect the interests of the students, but
also to work closely with them in the fight daily, organizing activities, lectures,
debates, etc., in which arguments make clear why this is a direct attack on public
education, and why it is so important that we fight together to defend what belongs to us,
what is our right: public education, fair and equal.
As Libertarian Students Front, we want to highlight the work carried out by the fellow
students of ATA (Association of Technical Autoconvocados), colleagues who have managed to
install the debate about curricula , not only in word, but have managed to get to the
street to many students and teachers to fight for public education we deserve.
NOT CHANGE OF curricula inconsulto!
NO MORE ATTACKS ON OUR EDUCATION!
FOR AN EDUCATIONAL PROJECT TO serve the people!
