NEW YORK – Now in its fourth year, the New York City Anarchist Book Fair
is one of the biggest events of its kind in North America. New York's
anarchist community will host a weekend festival of community,
cooperation, and insurrection including:
* a day-long book fair and arts show;
* two days of speakers, panels, and workshops;
* a film festival, and
* an interactive and participatory Anarchist Art Laboratory with
installations, music, performance, dance, and video art,
all devoted to building a free society without the state and without
capitalism.

The New York City Anarchist Book Fair is free to the public. It is for
activists to connect with each other and for anyone who wants to explore
the vibrant world of anarchist political organizing, action, and art.
And it is for kids, with child care and creative activities for children
provided. Exhibitors – over 50 of them – will include independent
publishers and music labels, zinesters, and designers.

Panels, workshops, and infotables will cover anarchist response to the
economic crisis and the continued corporatization of everyday life,
struggles for life and livelihood within low-income communities and by
people of color in the U.S. and around the world, and new models of
anti-authoritarian organizing.
