* The heinous police assault on brother Abner Louima inside the 70 Precinct in not an isolated incident. It is only the latest example of criminal and systematic police brutality. What can labor and community activists do to strengthen the solidarity between the labor movement and the communities that are hardest hit by racism and police brutality? Some unions made their presence felt at the demonstrations demanding justice for Mr. Louima, but clearly more could and should be done by labor.

* What are the connections between police brutality, low wages, union busting, the fight for jobs and labors campaign to organize the unorganized?

* Join us and look for further nationally coordinated actions this fall.
