Not all stations covered Albania today and those who did concentrated on the averaged vessel.

Differing figures were given on the number of people still missing, some stations said 74 or 79, some over 80. Albanian TV - which was quoted on one station we get - announced the number of persons missing at 94. Albanian TV also accused the Italian captain to have rammed the vessel even twice and stated that this information came from the Albanian ambassador in Italy.

They also presented passenger lists on Albanian TV which apparently consisted of several pages, but they showed only one. Judging from this page, there were entire families on the boat. One Albanian couple was interviewed who lost a son and his family of four on the boat; they said they did not even know their son's family was going to leave Albania.

The number of dead bodies found today was again given with 4, 3 wymyn and 1 man.

Persons rescued from the vessel were interviewed in Italy and confirmed that the Italian warship had rammed them. The correspondent did not mention whether they also confirmed it having rammed them twice. Other refugees today went to the beach and laid down wreaths.

Italian authorities last night arrested the Albanian captain for smuggling people for a profit. It was also said that investigations against the Italian captain have been taken up; he was not arrested, however.

Albanian parliament has had a vote on the armed forces mission today and favoured it. This is still the parliament in which Berisha's party holds an overwhelming majority due to severe manipulations, but this time this was not mentioned anymore on the news.

This was the only news item from Albania; nothing was said about the situation in the country. ## CrossPoint v3.11 ##
