THE PAN-AFRIKAN FREEDOM FIGHTERS ASYLUM CAMPAIGN (PAFFAC) invites you to a

DAY SCHOOL - 6APRIL1997, 10.30AM - 5pm in the ABENG CENTRE, 7, GRESHAM ROAD, BRIXTON, LONDON SW9 (off Brixton Road, 5 minutes from Brixton Tube) ASYLUM RIGHTS: REVIEWING STRATEGIES AND TACTICS OF STRUGGLE

PAFFAC is a campaign based around liberation fighters and political campaigners from the continent of Africa, who are presently being targeted by the British state for rapid deportation. We fought our own repressive regimes at home, and were forced to flee to Britain. While here we have campaigned continuously on issues around the structural oppression of African people at home and abroad - the integral relationship between European neo-colonialist governments, the World Bank, asylum and immigration laws, big business exploitation of Africa, arms sales and anti-democratic African regimes. We are campaigning against the British Asylum & Immigration Act and British government policies in the southern hemisphere.

WORKSHOPS WILL INCLUDE: the Law and Asylum rights; Beyond immigration- north south issues; Communities of Resistance-building a movement; the British labour movement and attitudes to immigration.

2) democracy within trade unions, and;

3) workers' internationalism.

Any individuals or organisations that accept these principles and are prepared to work for them, are welcome within the ITUSC as comrades. _____________________________________________________________________
