Fourth Annual Freedom Fighter Film Festival

(Washington, D.C.) The New Afrikan Liberation Front, the Malcolm X
Grassroots Movement (MXGM) and the New Afrikan Network in Defense of
Political Prisoners and Prisoners of War (NANPPOW) will be co-sponsoring
the [Fourth Annual] Freedom Fighter Filmfest at Howard University,
Blackburn Center on Saturday, August 3, 1996 from 12:00 noon - 6:00 P.M.
The program will feature rare film and video footage on the Black Panther
Party, the Black Liberation Army, Mumia Abu-Jamal, Geronimo Pratt, MOVE,
and political exile Assata Shakur who now resides in Cuba.

In addition to the films and videos, there will be discussions moderated by
former political prisoners, political exiles, and community activists. Books
(and other propaganda) by and about political prisoners will also be
available.

This event is organized in support of the upcoming Hearings to be held before
the Congressional Black Caucus on the FBI Counterintelligence Program that
resulted in the creation of political prisoners and prisoners of war in
America.
