Short News from Poland

Since the last congress of the polish Anarchist Federation (FAP) the adress of
ist international bureau has changed. It is now:

Biuro Informacyjne Federacji Anarchistycznej
Skv. poczt 65

Poland

Fax: (0-59) 224-55 (from 8 AM until 2 PM)

If you do not speak polish but still want to get in contact with the polish
comrades, let us know. We have been responsible for the East-West coordination
of the I-AFD for a while now. During the last congress of the FAP a delegate for
contacts to comrades speaking german was also chosen. Therefore you can send
information from Germany, Switzerland or Austria (or any other country - the
translator) to us and we will forward it to the polish comrades. They will then
be published in the polish anarchist press.

XIV congress of the polish AF from the 11th to 12th of May 1996

Delegates from 23 groups attended the congress. The total number of groups
organised in the FAP is 40-45 (an full adress-list can be obtained from us). The
congress decided that the polish AF should publish english A-Infos - News from
Poland bulletins in future, probably in three-month intervals.

An extensive discussion on ecological anarchism was held, a part of the polish
anarchist movement which has been growing rapidly lately. Actions against
highways and the construction of new highways were planned which will be
coordinated by the Upela (? this was a bit hard to decypher - the translator)
group.

Reports about the work of the polnish ABC were also held, which, having been
created some month ago, has already had a number of successes. Large
Solidarityactions and donations for the two imprisoned polish comrades A.
Milewski and A. Ates led to their release after a few weeks. Several hundred
brochures about the ABC were printed and distributed and soon a regular
information-bulletin by the polish ABC is to be published.

To improve the use of ressources within the FAP, a list of their technichal
means was compiled. Thos groups who have technical equipment or received them
from western donations made this known to the others. The list is to be used
to regularly check if the equipment is still in use or could be more needed by
another group.
