---May-28th-1996--
Hello!
Lat saturday,may 27th., different autonomuos
and/orlibertarian groups and people have broken in to the old
San Agustin school, left many years ago, it's placed in San
Agustin street, at Magdalena neighborhood in Zaragoza
("sPAINsih" state).
This school was first squattered two years ago, not too long
after the eviction from La Casa De La Paz (the House of
Peace), but was also evicted after a week.
Yersterday, monday, was presented to the City Hall, owner of
the school, a proyect torehabilitate the building and the use
it is wanted to give to it: a "self-gestioned" social center
opened to the neighborhood and to the city, to be used as a
meeting point between the edifferent needs and the wishes of
all the people that want to and are willing to work for a new
freed and "self-gestioned" space in our city. This proyect has
been also given to the media and to different associations and
official organizations of Zaragoza.
This morning, about 8am. the local police has come to evict
the school. Some of the people that were insde has been
evicted, it seems that the police has broken the wrist of a
saquat-girl, and a group of them as gone up to the roof and
there they are resisting the evict. The neighbors are showing
their solidarity and they've already started to give help to
the resisters. For the people that might be in zaragoza we
need your help by showing up there in San Agustin street or
any other way you might think (economically, with materials,
etc...).
If you want any futher information you can also write to the
"self-gestioned" social center Entropia to

In this center do work CAMPI (total unsubmisive), Ruda

and Simbiosis cooperative.
Expecting your cooperation.
Long live for the Squatterings!

----May-30th.-1996----

Thursday, May 30th, 11.am:
The situation at the San Agustin school is as follows. The
local police has gone up to the roof, were the 9 saquats were
resisting early in the morning, and has been able to evict 5
of them. There are still 4 at the top of the roof.
The 5 eveicted had been taken to the police station were they
have been identified and after it the'v been freed. It seems
like the police doesn't want any arrests to avoid possible
dins. Now thy're acting like "pigs", not alouding any lifts of
food and all that, but it seems that they can get things from
the neighbors. During this two days they've had food, drinks,
tabacco, umbrellas (note: now here we are up to 30-35 celsius
degrees), a tube to take showers, and even a movil phone that
was used to call to the free radio station Radio-Topo were
they were live on the air.
Today there's a conentration (stand up) at 12am to go to the
City Hall, owner of the building. In the afternoon there will
be a sanack and "paning" (make noise w/ pans) since 18pm.
There's still people at SAn Agustin street during all day and
all night. It's very important the continous support there,
that's because we ask for the people from Zaragoza to show up
in the squettering and to widely expand this information.
Tomorrow there's a City Hall meeting and Chunta Aragonesista
it's going to bring up this thing there. In the afternoon it's
most likely that a party it's going to take place there with
flamenco and so.

IN SOLIDARITY WITH THE SQUATTERS.
LET'S MAKE OUR DREAMS COME TRUE.

--end-of-translations--

Note from the translator: The squattering it's in one/the
most poor neighborhood of Zaragoza. Most of it's population
are gipsys, a socially marginalized comunity. Most of them
had/has/will have "problems" with the police. No one does pay
any attention to this kind of people ever. There fore, the
neighbors are helping a lot. All the little kids are playing
with us, riding our bicycles, teaching us to play flamenco
music, etc... I'm very optimistic with this situation, if the
squattering resists it might become the only freed
neighborhood in our city.
Will keep you up to date

Hola!

Esperamos vuestra colaboracion.

HAGAMOS REALIDAD NUESTROS SUEN~
