Admittedly that is powerful poetry, Luc. What a shame that its author was
so insensitive to his own chauvinism that he was unable to express his
contempt for Europe's role in the development of modern civilization
without using female imagery for Europe, describing her as an ugly,
withered old woman (a "crone"), "a depraved and vicious whore", and an
"old harlot"! No wonder modern women are so afraid of our macho society
when we can triumphantly call for a feminine allegorical figure to dance
her last dance and DIE, DIE, DIE!
