(en) Czech, afed: Book News III -- Mikola Dziadok will present the Czech edition of its book The Parallel World in Color at the Anarchist Book Festival.

Date Wed, 16 May 2018 10:13:50 +0300

We have already presented two publications that will be offered by the Anarchist Federation Publishing House at this year's Anarchist Book Festival , namely Steel Century by Vadim Damier and Romana Laube's Tape and Hoods . The third piece of news you will find on our stand is the book The Parallel World in Color. ---- Her author Mikola Dziadok (born in 1988) is a Belarusian anarchist who was five years in prison of the Lukashenko regime. Besides the reflection of the prison stay, this book also meant the creation of a handbook for potential prisoners. ---- Mikola was arrested in September 2010 and a number of other anarchists (for example, Igora Olinevic, whose prison daily Jedou to Magadan we released in 2014) were charged with an arson attack on the Russian Embassy, the Belarusian Army Staff, a bank and a casino in Minsk. He refused to ask for a presidential pardon, so he sat down for the whole sentence, plus several months in defiance of the prison administration. She is currently studying and living in Lithuania and continues to participate in protest in Belarus.

You could meet Mikola on the last year of the anarchist "bukwer", where one day he spoke about the prison system in Belarus, and the second described the Belarusian social protests of last spring. His invitation to that time was combined with the publication of a book from the Belarussian environment, which is called Confidential Diary, and will also be on our stand.

If you did not get Mikolu last year or did not get to the festival, we have a good news for you. Mikola arrives this year to introduce his book "The Parallel World in Color" and discuss it as part of the tour that he has prepared for her release. This lecture and discussion will begin with a short documentary on the persecution of Belarusian anarchists.

The book The Parallel World in Color has 100 pages of A6 format and the recommended contribution to cover costs is $ 50.

The Anarchist Book Festival will be held on Saturday, May 19, 2018, from 10:00 to 20:00, in the Eternie area of Smichov, and many books and magazines will be rich in other lectures - you can find their annotations HERE .https://anarchistbookfair.cz/program/
