KIEL, GERMANY -- German leftists pelted extreme right-wing protesters
with stones yesterday, injuring 10 people outside an exibition about
World War II atrocities. More than 1,000 extreme rightists were marching
to protest the exibition, which shows atrocities committed by ordinary
German soldiers, as well as special SS units, in Eastern Europe during
the war. At least 600 leftists threw stones and clashed with police, who
ordered the march route shortened to try to contain the violence. (AP)
