This 19th of October will take place the 23rd ExistransInter march, a march of protest for 
the rights of trans and intersex people. This march aims to defend the self-determination 
of trans people and / or intersex and denounce the trampling of their rights and their 
health for decades. This year, trans, intersex people and their allies are calling for 
support for access to trans migrants' rights of residence, access to the PMA for trans 
people and condemn the mutilation of intersex people, racist laws on immigration who 
imprison, expel trans and intersex people seeking asylum and limit any recourse. ---- The 
eviction of trans people from the PMA and the half-hearted measures of the government for 
the trans people (insufficient circular on the change of first name, maintenance of the 
change of civil status in a judicial procedure demedicalized only theoretically) reflect 
the influence and the pressure of the camp of the reactionary bourgeoisie, represented, 
among others, by the "Manif for all" who explicitly target trans people. They can only 
encourage homophobic and transphobic acts, at a time when the leaders of the state send 
complacent signals to the reactionaries.

Trans people, even more so when they are migrants, are forced to face real obstacles to 
access medical treatment, including hormonal and surgical, necessary for their journey, or 
to make a change of civil status and see issuing identity papers of the kind in which they 
live.

This state transphobia relays and reinforces the transphobia caused by a patriarchal 
system, which perpetuates the idea that being a man or a woman is a fact of nature, caused 
by genetics, whereas it is about social constructs, oppression relationship between a 
dominant group and a dominated group. This ambient transphobia creates a very precarious 
situation for trans people, who have great difficulty finding a job or having access to 
health. In addition, trans people are subjected to violence, whether in the street, at 
work, in the family or in the couple, by the police, in prisons, etc.

Against transphobia, fight against patriarchy !
As libertarians, we believe that only self-organized struggles and self-management will 
allow us to break out of such systems, which benefit those who have an interest in 
preserving them. Such self-organization can only be truly effective if the people 
concerned can now fully take their place in the militant organizations of their choice and 
in the struggles. Therefore, we commit ourselves daily against sexism, homophobia, 
transphobia, racism, state domination and capitalist exploitation, and carry our demands 
of rupture, for a libertarian and egalitarian society.

Finally, in the continuity of the Exitransinter march, we call to mobilize on November 20, 
2019, for the Transgender Day of Remembrance (TDoR), international day that celebrates the 
memory of the trans people murdered around the world, and to support all the the rest of 
the year, initiatives aiming at the emancipation and self-determination of trans people.
