Ukraynalı vicdani retçi gazeteci Ruslan Kotsaba, 12 Mayıs tarihinde, Ivano-Frankivsk (Batı
Ukrayna) şehir mahkemesi tarafından, üç buçuk yıl hapis cezasına çarptırıldı. Mahkeme
Kotsaba’yı “Ukrayna silahlı kuvvetlerinin yasal aktivitelerini engellemek” gerekçesiyle
suçlu buldu.
Avrupa Vicdani Ret Bürosu (EBCO), Kotsaba’nın tutuklanmasının ardından bir açıklama
yaparak, vicdani retçi Ruslan Kotsaba’nın derhal serbest bırakılması gerektiğini vurguladı.
