(en) US, NYC Anarchist Open Forum NYMAA: Tue. Dec. 20

Date Mon, 12 Dec 2011 16:20:01 +0200

Mark your Calendars! ---- The December Anarchist Open Forum will be held from 7:00 to 9:00 PM on December 20, 2011 at the 6th Street Community Center. The center is at 638 E. 6th St, between Ave. B & C. The nearest subway is the F line at 2nd Ave. (East end of platform is 1st Ave.) ---- Topics suggested for this month include OWS and Anarchist Economics. ---- The New York Anarchist Open Forum is a gathering of NYC anarchists where we meet other anarchists and discuss anarchist ideas, events, projects and whatever else comes up. NYCAOF is organized to facilitate in-person discussion forums for topics of interest to the NYC anarchist community. Gathering on the third Tuesday of each month, in spaces conductive to discussion, we give members of the community a space to hold discussions on topics of mutual interest, announce or promote projects they are organizing and, generally, to socialize with other anarchists.

The Format
The forum is open. The discussion agenda will be determined by community members. Those who wish to sponsor a topic may identify themselves to the group during introductions and will be allotted a brief post-introduction time slot to introduce their proposed topic or project. After all proposals have been made the meeting will reorganize into breakout groups around the several topics proposed, attendees joining that breakout which interests them most. Breakouts are expected to meet for 45 minutes to an hour.

Note: A flyer is attached. If you can post flyers at your school, or elsewhere it would be greatly appreciated.
