As you know, the situation in Chiapas is enough worrying. Powers governmental do not stop 
in the harassment to the partners zapatistas and in last dates have increased harassment 
on the part of groups paramilitaries with the only objective of creating situations of 
tension that they justify an intervention of the army. ---- From Mexico arrive to us an

From 12th January the Zapatista Army of National Liberation (EZLN) promise to national 
and international civil society not to carry out any armed action against the federal, 
state or local government. From that moment, the EZLN has kept its word, despite the 
existence of a hard militarisation of its territory and the creation of various 
paramilitary groups, which, recurrently, have provoked clashes without achieving their aims.
Now, the Council of Good Government called “El camino del futuro”, of the Caracol of 
“Resistencia hacia un nuevo amanecer”, in La Garrucha, has denounced that there are 
documents according to which the paramilitary Group Organización Para la Defensa de los 
Derechos Indígenas y Campesinos (OPDDIC), of PRIst and PRDist influence (according to the 
paramilitary) are preparing an attack to vacate the zapatistas in Santo Domingo, using 
firearms and even bombs.
Originally, the action was planned for the 20th March but it has been brought forward for 
the 5th.
We, that have accompanied the zapatistas in their fight for a peace with justice and 
dignity, are alert before this threat and point out the three orders of the government, 
executive, state and local, as well as the armed forces there, as responsible of any attack.

We know about the willpower of the zapatistas Brothers and sisters to withstand in the 
defense of their land and to keep their word and not to undertake any offensive action.
We call the good faith Mexicans and Internationals to make a statement on the matter and 
to keep alert.
