Date Fri, 29 May 2009 10:08:14 +0300

24th and 25th of May were declared as "international days of action for Ukrainian and
Russian anti-fascists" (see call here: http://www.avtonom.org/index.php?nid=2527),
eventually actions were reported in 5 East- and North European countries, besides these an
action was announced for Sunday 24th in London, but this far there has not been reportback
from there. ---- First reported action was in Helsinki, Ukrainian embassy at Kulosaari
district was attacked with paint bombs early in the morning of 25th of May. In communique,
previously unheard group "Anti-fascists of Helsinki" pointed out to recent flirting of
Yuschenko with far-right, but also named four imprisoned Russian anti-fascists for whom
this was a solidarity action. Action was well covered in Finnish media as there is not
that much direct action, but just few hundred people were into going to anarchist websites
to read the full communique and not the distorted image.

Second reported action took place in 8 AM in Dnepropetrovsk of Ukraine -
a banner "Antifascism is not a crime" was dropped from a bridge. 9 Am it
was turn of Kharkov, where banners "Crush fascism at its roots" and
"Anti-fascism is not a crime" were dropped at Gagarin bridge. In 5 PM,
banner "anti-fascism is not a crime" was also dropped in Kiev next to
Maydan. Video from Dnepropetrovsk and photos from Kiev and Kharkov are
available here: http://www.antifa-action.org.ua/node/83.

In Poland, there was a picket in Poznan at the Russian consulate, with
banner "I am really free only when people around me are free as well",
with names of 3 recently imprisoned Russian anti-fascists (Aleksey
Bychin, Aleksey Olesinov and Artur Valeyev). Action was not announced in
prior to authorities, twenty people too part, one supporter from Greece
was detained but later released without charges. It was already second
solidarity action at the Russian consulate this year. Video of action
is available at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0VYVG6ME-_k.

In Minsk of Belarus, around 5 PM at 25th a 12 meter banner with text
"Freedom to anti-fascists" was dropped at house number 44 of Masherov
street. Leaflets were distributed nearby, text of the leaflet and video
is available at http://belarus.avtonom.org/?p=4111

In Moscow, a picket was organised 26th of May at the Ukrainian embassy.
Some 30 people took part, photose available at
