1) THE CZECH ANARCHIST LEAFLET AGAINST ANTISOCIAL REFORMS ---- „Capitalism against people – people
against capitalism!“ -- The government is of meaning that social- and money-reform is unavoidable.
But politics are forgetting to say, who exactly is the selected one. Of course, it won´t be people
with low, average or a little above-average wages, as students and pensioners are. Who will profit
from the reform? People that need it the least – owners, employers, masters – persons which have
the most narrow contacts with the politics. They meet politics on banquets and parties – without
question – more often, than plain voters and unvoters. ---- Reform is copying global institutions
references (IMF, World Bank) exactly, actually decrease taxes for the rich and try to destroy
social rights for simple people. Workers are losing the many-years-contested rights all over the
world. Such process means danger for a most injurable class, naturally.

And what, among others, are preparing the neo-liberalism ploughboys ? Growth of retirement age,
sick-leave dissolution, „regulation payments“ in health services, cancellation of social
supplements, lower subsistences and so on.

There is political oposition and unions resistance, naturally. But something is missing – a will to
destroy capitalist tendency. Union masters are irresolute. One thing is working class rights, at
the other side there is a necessity to be a responsible part of the capitalist regime.
We, anarchists, are not coming with a plan to reduce neoliberalist reforms, vice versa – we have to
destroy state and basement of capitalist system. System, standing at class unequality, miserly
individualism and social opression principles. These principles are foreign to us, we are opposing
them with our ones – priciples of solidarity, liberty and political and economical autonomy.
We are not supporting union bosses in case of Czech and Moravian trade union's demonstration. We
have to express resistance against anti-social government reforms and try to defend at least the
current social rights of ours. But it is only a small part of wide battle – battle against state
and capitalism, battle for liberty and autonomous society.

2) Against the reform by the time-unlimited general strike!!

(Part of leaflet created by Czechoslovak Anarchist Federation, on the occasion of strike, declared
by the most of the czech main labour unions against the government reforms)

NOTE: The government reforms in Czech republic are hand in hand with orders and recommendations of
monetary institutions and OECD..For common people it means another enormous increase of their
expenses.. The worst measures are for example : food consumer tax increase, introducing charges at
doctor(everybody, even small children and pensioners, now have to pay during the visit of their
doctor), raising the limit for retirement, decrease of parental allowances....

Members of the Czechoslovak anarchist federation(ČSAF) are fully supporting the strike announced on
the 24th of June and any other protest actions against the government reforms.
Members of ČSAF are directly joining the strike, according to their possibilities, or expressing
their solidarity by the other forms of protests. Also we, the anarchists, say NO to these asocial
reforms and that´s why we call upon everybody – working people, unemployed people, students,
pensioners and the other groups of unprivileged people, to join the strike or express their
solidarity with the striking..

Don´t let ourselves to be separated, don´t forget that our strength is in our unity and solidarity.
It is fool to trust in political parties or supreme labour union leaders. Don´t let them abuse us
for their political or power ambition. Trust ourselves and our colleagues!
As the anarchists, we don't think that reforms can be stopped just by one-hour or one day-long
strike indeed.
The only way out, the only method, how to beat down the government and stop reforms, is
time-unlimited general strike, which would be stopped only at that time, when government will
withdraw and abolish their asocial reformative plans and measures.

There are a lot of ways, how to join..

If you can´t stop or quit your job or study for any reason, express your solidarity with the
striking people, for example during your journey to work, or by hanging out the banner “ I support
the demands of the striking” in your workplace or window.
If you are unemployed, for example you can occupy and block the building of Bureau of labour.
Extend the ideas of self-organization, direct action and time-unlimited general strike.
Create your own posters, stickers, leaflets, street-art stencils and set out to the streets. There
are offices of political parties in every bigger city. The forms of protest are various : symbolic
lockout of these offices, blockades, verbal confrontation of the politicians, flying rotten fruit
or sprayed walls of their offices..

The struggle doesn't end with one strike

Reformistic labour unions have no will to stop the recent government reforms. It is not possible to
be responsible part of the capitalist system and at the same time defend the interests of the
workpeople.
History of social struggles have clearly shown us that negotiations with those, who have the power,
is simply pointless. The government will withdraw and annul reformative plans only at that time,
when the time-unlimited general strike will take place. The strike, which will threaten profits of
the lobbyist groups of employers. In fact, especially these groups have the eminent concern over
realization of these reforms promoted by the government. At the same time, we will see what the
labour unions seek to do – to defend the interests of the working people, or to maintain their soft
jobs..

3) May Day antifascist festival in Prague
29. 4. 2008 v 10.26

Few people now see May 1 as a day to remember and celebrate. For most people it is just a holiday,
a brief pause in their everyday lives.
Before 1989, the May Day celebrations were one the symbols of power of the totalitarian regime.
While the nostalgic neo-stalinists from KSČM (the Communist Party of Bohemia and Moravia) still use
May 1 as an opportunity to organise public gatherings, it is the neo-nazis of various currents and
under various labels who have over the last few years staged larger Mayday demonstrations and
marches. Their inspiration comes from the Third Reich and their rhetoric is full of freedom, nation
and socialism, while their ideology promotes enslavement, hatred and racism.
Neo-nazi activities are on the rise, as evidenced by the recent marches in Prague, Pilsen or
Jihlava. This year’s neo-nazi May Day march through the multi-ethnic district of Žižkov is yet
another example. The city authorities have again resorted to a charade of useless administrative
bans, the sensation-hungry media are bracing themselves for the much-desired “battle between
extremists” and non-governmental organisations continue to push misinformation and lame humour paid
by EU money as the best way to prevent another holocaust.
This time round we will leave the “law-abiding citizens” to exercise their initiative and we hope
to see Žižkov “defended” by the same the herd of politicians and celebrities that appeared before
the cameras last November to “defend” the Jewish Town in Prague from a neo-nazi attempt to march
through it on the anniversary of the 1938 Kristallnacht pogroms.

But this time we shall not organise blockades or protests, much to the disappointment of the media,
the police and politicians who would like to see us yet again playing the assigned role of
“extremist counterpart” of the neo-nazis. We want to celebrate and remember May 1 as a day of
freedom and fight against oppression, a day of solidarity, struggle for social rights, social
justice and equal opportunities for all regardless of their place of birth, colour of skin and
social position.

For this reason we decided to celebrate May Day in a positive way, by joining the Festival Against
Racism taking place at Císařská louka in Prague 5 from 2pm till 10pm. The variety of music genres
will include The (International) Noise Conspiracy from Sweden, radical hip hopper Vladimir 518, ska
by the Fast Food Orchestra, the melodic punk of Die Ousiders, more hip hop by Jay Diesel and the
noise hardcore of Gnu. The festival will also feature presentations of groups, organisations and
movements with a critical view of today’s world, vegetarian and vegan food, workshops, juggling, a
tattoo salon, a film projection space and a space for children. There will be an after-party at the
Cross club in Holešovice. Entrance to the festival is free.

The message we want to send to the neo-nazis is clear: "We are not afraid of you and we will enjoy
ourselves on the very day you are trying to intimidate people. The city is not yours, remember
this. We are all people of colour.”
