Hey Kids! Here's the latest red hot minutes from the South Wales Anarchists 
Forum. --- Was there a South Wales Anarchists Forum on the 7th of January 
2008AD? Yes there was, and here are the minutes.  St Athan ---- There is a demo 
arranged for  1pm on the 17th  of January.  Banner-making at The Pad from 2pm 
this Sunday. Bring materials and all that innit. Check out ---- 
www.nomurderacademyatstathans.com for the latest news.. ---  ID Cards --- For a 
while, there has been an idea floating around to do some sort of anti ID card/No 
Borders  demo in Newport. It was decided that this will occur on Saturday  the 
1st of March, so keep ‘em peeled for what’s happening. We also discussed and 
agreed to affiliate to the Defy ID network.

  No Borders

There is a No Borders gathering in Nottingham on the weekend of the 16th and 
17th of February ’08. The agenda is still being constructed so get involved. The 
more the merrier. This would be a natural progression of the ongoing commitment 
by the No Borders Wales group to this issue.

  Talk at The Pad

‘How Non-Violence Protects The State’.  A talk by the author as part of a 
nationwide tour, at The Pad on the 24th of January, 7pm. Need ammo for those 
‘difficult’ conversations? Here it is! Please come along cos the bloke’s 
travelling miles.

  Anarchist Assembly

There is a proposal to organise an Anarchist Assembly in Wales. The rationale 
would be to build on and share the experiences of the recent convergence centres 
such as Stirling and Heiligendamm, together with the Climate Camps, with 
particular regard to decentralised participatory living.  Current suggestions 
for workshops at this event include Education, Community Development,  Housing 
etc. The general aim of the proposal is to widen the appeal and knowledge of the 
ideas and principles ‘we’ may have, in order that they can be applied out in the 
real world .  Everyone present thought this was a fandabidozy idea. We need 
ideas for a venue/fundraising please.  A working group is forming; the next 
meeting about this will be at The Pad this Sunday, from about 2pm. This looks 
like being quite a big thing so get on the bandwagon now so you can brag about 
it after.

  Acoustic Gigs in The Pad

These have been v. good so far, there was a proposal that they should become 
monthly. Anybody fancy performing, know anyone who might, let us know through 
the list or come to a CAN meeting. The next date would be the 9th of February, 
so there’s over a month to get a good night sorted out. It will be a benefit gig 
for The Pad via donations, so stick yer ‘and in yer pocket (if you’ve got any 
dough like). Food is anticipated also. Oh yes.

  Gagged

Articles are required for the new issue please, particularly with regard to 
poverty.  There are still some of the last one left at The Pad so come in, grab 
‘em and give ‘em out.

  Film Showing

‘Sicko’ by Michael Moore is being shown tomorrow, 7.30 at The Pad.  Bring one’s 
own popcorn.
  Prisoner Support

Meeting tomorrow at 6pm prior to the film showing to sort out funding issues, 
prior to regular meetings/forums at The Pad surrounding this issue.
