A-Infos (en) US. SDS* Mobilize for Global Justice! Solidarity Action Against G8 in Philly

In solidarity with those resisting the G8 in Heiligendamm, Philly and South 
Jersey Students for a Democratic Society call for an action in Philly. A rally 
in Independence Park will be followed by a march to the federal reserve bank 
and US Mint, symbols of a major currency of global capitalism. All interested 
please assemble on the lawn in front of the park visitors center at 5th and 
Market Street on Friday June 8th at 2 pm.

SDS would like to create a participatory format, so please bring any of your 
own banners, signs, costumes, drums, or plans for creative action. In order to 
create resounding and effective resistance, we must show international 
solidarity and call attention to the fact that the non-democratic and 
non-accountable decisions made at the G8 summit will affect all of us. 
Challenege the global agenda and those who put people before profit! Bring the 
noise, love, and rage.

A Philly SDS member affiliated with SUSTAIN (Stop US Tax-Funded Aid to Israel 
Now!) is also hosting a house party to raise money for The Needle in the 
Groove, a music/art camp for Palestinian girls, after the rally. The Sustain 
party will be held at 4707 Hazel Avenue starting at 8pm. This event is a great 
way to build momentum for the mobilization in DC on the 10th. Minimum donation 
of $5.
