(en) Canada, Ottawa, ANARCHIST DISCUSSION: Anarchism and Feminism - May 27

Date Wed, 16 May 2007 10:53:04 +0300

Propaganda --- Facilitated discussion --- SUMMARY --- The radical feminist project of women's liberation clearly has much in common with the anarchist project of total human liberation. A local anarcha-feminist will facilitate an open discussion about feminism within the anarchist movement. The problem of sexism within the anarchist movement will also be examined. One possible focus for discussion is the "Are You A Manarchist" Questionnaire:

The Anarchist Discussion Group meets every second Sunday afternoon. We are
local Ottawa activists and community members who share an
anti-authoritarian and anti-capitalist viewpoint. We are involved in
diverse struggles and believe in the importance of maintaining a link
between theory and practice. Discussions are based on readings,
presentations or short films. If there are readings, they are optional and
will be summarized at the beginning of the discussion.
