FRIDAY, December 1, 2006 At 12:30pm at Dorchester Square (corner of
Rene-Levesque West and Peel) -- The past months have shown the true face of the
Harper government: war, security, militarism and law and order, all to the
detriment of social policies, and the needs of people and the environment. Of
course, this move to the right-wing war-mongering policies of George Bush is not
new. The difference with previous governments is just in degree, not in the
basic orientation. We think that it's the capitalist economic system itself, and
not the kind of government in place, that's the cause of the aggression in
Afghanistan and the move to the right. It's time to offer something else than
tears in solidarity with the victims of a "made in Canada" war and our own
exploitation by the rich.
It's time to increase the public expression of our anger.
