A short documentary that highlights the hypocrisy of the security certificate
process and the injust imprisonement of the security certificate detainees.
"Security Certificates are documents issued under the Immigration and Refugee
Protection Act (the IRPA) that enable the deportation of permanent residents,
refugees, and temporary visitors from Canada without substantive judicial
review. They may face torture or execution in their destination country upon
deportation."

We will be showing a short film about security certificates and the
security certificate process. Hacene Oukacine, from Justice For Mohammed
Harkat will be there to talk about their campaign to abolish security
certificates.

The Anarchist Discussion Group meets every second Sunday afternoon. We are
local Ottawa activists and community members who share an
anti-authoritarian and anti-capitalist viewpoint. We are involved in
diverse struggles and believe in the importance of maintaining a link
between theory and practice. Discussions are based on readings,
presentations or short films. If there are readings, they are optional and
will be summarized at the beginning of the discussion.
