Sending out an update on the Speaking tour for the Consejo Indigena
Popular de Oaxaca - Ricardo Flores Magon (from the coordinating meeting
for the speaking tour in Los Angeles)
We're working on designing a press packet to put out to newspapers and media
-we can have different cities use this packet as well to outreach
-it will include information on the CIPO-RFM and on the speaking tour
Videos on the CIPO-RFM (to set up film showings) --we're making copies
and offering to other cities organizing a stop or solidarity events
- Rebel Music - Sembrando Esperanza/Seeding Hope (In Spanish with English subtittles)

We want to make a calendar with other cities to coordinate with each other
Weekends are the only time the CIPO members can do speaking events

Looking for Organizations and Individuals to Endorse the Tour:
-$20 for endorsers
-Name will go on our flyer and will be mentioned on the program for the

In Los Angeles the proposed weekends for the speaking tour are June 3rd
and 4th, and June 10th and 11th


Through the tour we want to:
-Connect the struggles in Mexico to our struggles here
-Tie it into the anti HR 4437 movment
-Raise consciousness for people from Mexico
-The struggles will spill over the borders -- influence each other
-Our responsibility is fight on this side of the border in solidarity
with the people of Mexico
-Create dialogues in these communities
-Organize and connect to other Anarchists from other countries, learn
from their struggle and adapt it to our own struggle here
-Build solidarity
-To gain inspiration, and to strengthen our own movements
-Seeing the interconnectedness of building autonomy in communities
-Wherever people struggle, we should be there, and speak to it to
whatever capacity we can

The Popular Indigenous Council of Oaxaca – Ricardo Flores Magón is an
autonomous organization of indigenous and non-indigenous people who ally
themselves with the struggle for indigenous rights and social justice
all over the world. They work for a world based on self-determination,
equality, direct democracy, and mutual aid for all through various
projects and campaigns ranging from cooperative businesses, to
educational programs, to cultural projects to mobilizing against the
oppressive power structure. The hundreds of members of the CIPO-RFM take
action in their daily lives to create the new world they carry in their
Since its birth, the CIPO-RFM has suffered terrible repression. Members
have been attacked, jailed and even murdered by the government.
Currently there are 16 members in prison. With support and pressure from
the public, twelve others have been freed.
