To all adherents to the Sixth Declaration and the Other Campaign:

Compa~eros and compa~eras:

We have received, from the Other Oaxaca, another denunciation of the climate
of repression that the compa~eros and compa~eras of the Other Campaign
suffer in that state. It is no longer just about San Blas Atempa, Santa
Catarina Juquila, Chuxnaba'n, Quetzaltepec Mixe, San Andre's Monta~a,
Silacayopan and Santiago Ixtayutla; now the following is added:

On March 4, 2006, in the community of Santiago Cuixtla, municipality of
Santos Reyes Nopala, Oaxaca, the townspeople were attacked with firearms.
The cowardly attack was directed by municipal mayor Freddy Gil Pineda Gopar,
and by other PRI supporters, and left two people gravely injured: compa~eros
Jesu's Carmona Mijangos and Marino Cruz Canseco. Not satisfied with shooting
up a peaceful meeting, the state and municipal police arrested compa~eros
Roberto Sa'nchez Ria~o, Tirso Di'az Herna'ndez, Serefino Herna'ndez Cruz,
Simo'n Velasco Ruiz, Carmelo Herna'ndez Alave's, Pedro Rami'rez Herna'ndez,
Arnulfo Herna'ndez Corte's and Severo Cruz Lo'pez. In addition to these
eight arrests, compa~ero Toma's Riuz Carmona is currently missing. These
injured, detained, and disappeared compa~eros are members of the Revolutionary
Popular Front (FPR) and the Indian Organizations for Human Rights in Oaxaca
(OIDHO), adherents to the Sixth Declaration and the Other Campaign, and
demand:

1. An immediate solution to the political conflict of Santiago Cuixtla,
Santos Reyes Nopala, Juquila, Oaxaca.

2. The immediate and unconditional release of the compa~eros arrested in
that community and the return of the compa~ero who was disappeared.

3. The cessation of all forms of repression and intimidation against the
townspeople on the part of the municipal and state governments.

4. The removal of Santos Reyes Nopala mayor Feddy Gil Pineda Gopar and the
initiation of a legal process against him and the others implicated in
these events.

We call on the Other Oaxaca and on all the friends of the Other Campaign
throughout the country to join us in supporting the struggle of these
compa~eros. Let us unite our strength against government
authoritarianism.

AGAINST POLICE BRUTALITY; FOR THE LIBERATION OF
ALL POLITICAL PRISONERS!
>From the Other Quere'taro.
