No One is Illegal - Vancouver Coast Salish Territories is happy to announce the 
lanuch of our blog! Please visit our new blog at http://noiivan.blogspot.com
Our blog will feature daily updates with news, articles, and analysis on the 
struggle for migrant justice, and also from the broader global movement for 
self-determination and dignity struggling against capitalism, colonization, 
homophobia, occupation, patriarchy, poverty, war, and all other forms of 
oppression and exploitation.
This blog hopes to add to the amazing web-based informational resources that 
already exist within our movements, with a specific emphasis on giving voice to 
those communities most affected by the policies of globalization and empire 
whose struggles inpsire us, to concretely build the links between the racist war 
at home and the war abroad, and to strengthen an analysis that targets all forms 
of hierarchy and oppression.

The blog currently features posts on the largest immigration raids in US
history; updates on the Six Nations land reclamation; updated information
and analysis from Haiti, Afghanistan, Mexico, New Orleans, Lebanon, and
Iraq; migrant rights from South Africa to China; anti-oppression resources
that articulate the particular impact of patriarchy and homophobia within
our organizing efforts; struggles against prisons, Guantanamo, and
security certificate detentions; the organization of immigrant and migrant
workers in Canada and the US; and much more. Blog posts are categorized
and maintained in weekly archives for easy navigation. NOII-Van collective
members may also be blogging for the site soon, so please stay tuned!

Our newswire (specific to news articles) will continue to be released
weekly over our email list. In addition, our website
(www.nooneisillegal.org), which is in static mode right now, will be
updated regularly in the coming months with specific resources relating to
immigrant rights struggles across Canada and our specific campaigns and
projects.

The No One is Illegal campaign is in full confrontation with Canadian
colonial border policies, denouncing and taking action to combat racial
profiling of immigrants and refugees, detention and deportation policies,
and wage-slave conditions of migrant workers and non-status people.

We struggle for the right for our communities to maintain their
livelihoods and resist war, occupation and displacement, while building
alliances and supporting indigenous sisters and brothers also fighting
theft of land and displacement.
