A-Infos (en) Russia, A bad turn in struggle of Yasnogorsk workers

15th of December 10 AM welder V.S. Chukanov, who has been participating to hungerstrike of Yasnogorsk car factory workers was hospitalized in a serious condition. Two other hungerstrikers are also getting worse, but this far they have refused to leave site of the strike. Hungerstrike has been going on with a varying levels of intensity since 1st of November, so many participators
are in a weak condition.
28th of November hungerstrikers visited Moscow, where they organised a small action at rosecutor's office with anarchists from Autonomous Action and Rainbow Keepers, and Institute of Collective Action. Anarchists and hungerstrikers shortly blocked the road in front of prosecutor's office, attempting to put up a tent there - one striker and six supporters got arrested.
Action was a small success, as it gained media attention - soon factory owners promised to pay 10-15% of the money, but also invited prosecutor to threat one of the organisers of the strike as "he had associated with extremists". Bosses also managed to split strikers, as  they promised
partial payment for those leaving the strike - eventually 6 of the 14 hungerstrikers submitted. There is also ongoing tensions between hungerstrikers and those whom bosses owe money but who are not participating to strike, as latter are afraid that only former will be paid.
