A research on political-ideological tendencies of high school students:

2.8 percent of those attending to the survey say that
they feel themselves nearer to the "communist" and 1.7
percent say they are nearer to the "anarchist" views.
Vocational high school students are relatively nearer to anarchist view
In the forth group there exist those feeling nearer to
"communist", "feminist" and "anarchist" views. Those
supporting "communist" view among youth reaches to the
highest point in vocational high schools with 4.4.
Those seeing themselves as "feminist"s are
concentrating in ordinary, private and anatolian high
schools. The percentage of those feeling themselves
nearer to "anarchist" view reaching the highest point
among vocational high school kids with 3.8.

Turkish Social Sciences Association with the
chairmanship of METU Sociology Deparment lecturer Dr.
Mustafa Sen. The research is conducted by a company
including Önder Kücükural, Berna Zengin Arslan,
Emrah Göker, Yasar Suveren, Ulas Ugras Tol from Yasama
Dair Vakif Arastirma Group and research assistant
Özgür Arun from METU Sociology Department. Totally
4545 senior class high school students -including 41
percent girls 59 percent boys- had attended to the
survey which was held in December 2004. The survey was
carried out in 12 province centers including Istanbul,
Ankara,
Izmir, Balikesir, Bursa, Adana, Kayseri, Samsun,
Trabzon, Erzurum, Malatya and Gaziantep, in 5
different type of (ordinary, Anatolian, vocational,
imam hatip [religious]) high schools.
