A-Infos (en) US, LA, Si Se Puede Meeting December 11th at 11am

The Si Se Puede Collective is meeting this Sunday December 11th at 11am
at the YJC Center 253 W. Martin Luther King Blvd. (cross street is
Broadway off the 110 FWY -- buses 40, 42, 45, 740, 745, 200 go there)
The Si Se Puede Collective is a labor collective of the Los Angeles
Chapter of the Southern California Anarchist Federation
(scafla.communityfeast.org).
We're involved in different projects to help in the process of worker
self organization.  Our long term goal is to build direct democracy in
the work place and worker self-management without the need of bosses and
top-down organization.

We hope in the near future to build a worker owned and run center --
where workers can organize in councils, look for work, support each
other, build solidarity, build programs, and connect to the community.

We work and support sectors of workers who are ignored by organized labor:
-day laborers
-domestic workers
-women
-immigrants
-the unemployed
-independent workers

As of right now, we're building a relationship, supporting, and helping
in the organizing of port-truckers in Long Beach, Taxi Drivers in Los
Angeles, Domestic workers (who are majority women), and Day laborers.

We're working on an event in January to bring all those different
workers together to start building mutual solidarity.  The event will be
in organized on the basis of popular education, where the workers
themselves would organize the event, break up into groups and share
their experiences, learn from each other, and build solidarity.  There
would be food and music at the event (so it won't be necessarily a
meeting).  The port truckers who are looking to organize, wil l use the
event as a spring board in that process.

The Si Se Puede Collective is made up of diverse people who all hold a
strong belief in direct-democracy: students, activists,
revolutionaries, all members of the community, Community Organizers, and
labor organizers.

Reunion del Si Se Puede Colectivo -- este Domingo Diciembre 11, a las 11am
en el centro del YJC -- 253 West Martin Luther King Blvd (esta por el
110 Freeway y la calle Broadway -- los autobuses que corren alli son las
lineas 40, 42, 45, 740, 745, y el 200).

Si Se Puede es un Colectivo de la Federacion de Anarquista del Sur de
California (el capitulo de Los Angeles -- nuestro sitio del web es
scafla.communityfeast.org).

Estamos organizando diferente proyectos para ayudar en el proceso donde
los trabajadores se podran organizar ellos mismos.  Nuestra meta
finalmente es crear la democracia directa en el trabajo sin la nececidad
de el patron o la burucracia de arriba-para-abajo.

Queremos crear un centro que sea organizado y poseido por los
trabajadores  -- para que puedan organizarse en consejos, consegir
trabajo, conectarse con la comunidad, y crear soladiridad.

Trabajamos y apoyamos sectores de trabajadores que sean no hechos caso
por el trabajo organizado:
-troqueros
-taxistas
-trabajadores domesticos
-jornaleros
-mujeres
-los que no tienen trabajo
-trabajadores independientes

En fecha ahora, estamos construyendo una relación, la estamos apoyando,
y estamos ayudando en la organización de puerto-camioneros en Long
Beach, conductores del taxi en Los Ángeles, los trabajadores domésticos
(quiénes son mujeres de la mayoría), y jornaleros.

Estamos trabajando en un acontecimiento en enero para traer a todos esos
diversos trabajadores juntos comenzar a construir solidaridad mutua.  El
acontecimiento adentro será organizado en base de la educación popular,
donde los trabajadores ellos mismos organizarían el acontecimiento, se
romperían para arriba en grupos y compartirían sus experiencias,
aprenderían de uno a, y construirían solidaridad.  Habría alimento y
música en el acontecimiento (así que él no sea necesariamente una
reunión).  Los camioneros portuarios que están mirando para organizar,
utilizarán el acontecimiento como tablero del resorte en ese proceso.

< DIV>El Si Se Puede colectivo se compone de la gente diversa que todo
lleva a cabo una creencia fuerte en democracia-directa:  estudiantes,
activistas, revolucionarios, todos los miembros de la comunidad, de los
organizadores de la comunidad, y de los organizadores de trabajo.
