anarchy.org.au is being relauched, bigger and better than ever. the
new site is under construction, and features basic information about
anarchy, links to anarchist and people-friendly groups and organisations
around the country, and, by popular demand, forums (praise jah).
"For those of us who have been bred to think and act like herd
animals, anarchy is our ultimate nightmare. The authoritarian world we
currently inhabit is based on a profound fear and hatred of individual
responsibility. Our forefathers hated and feared individual
responsiblity, and created coercive political institutions and
compulsive moralities to regulate human behaviour according to
preconceived patterns. In doing so they absolved themselves of the
ethical duty as human beings of having to think and act for themselves
on a day-to-day basis. Every new generation inherits a political and
moral edifice based on hatred and fear of individual responsibility,
and for the most part we choose not to question it out of convenience,
the desire for a painless, easy existence and the mistaken idea that
we can live in a kind of idiot's paradise forever without ever having
to answer for ourselves.".
