Andrew Flood, Aktivist und Schriftsteller aus Dublin, sprach über die
Anti-Kriegs Bewegung in Irland, im Speziellen über die Kampagnen, welche
die Benutzung des Shannon Airports durch die Vereinigten Staaten
betreffen. Der Shannon Airport im offiziell 'neutralem' südlichen Irland ist
für mindestens ein Jahrzehnt lang dazu benutzt worden, um
US-amerikanische Kampfflugzeuge zu betanken.
Das 'Grassroots Network Against the War (GNAW)' (Graswurzelnetzwerk
gegen den Krieg) führte eine Reihe von direkten Aktionen wie unerlaubtes
Eindringen und die Zerstörung von Gebäuden (property) durch.
Andrew Flood ist ein Mitglied des 'Workers Solidarity Movement'
(Arbeiter Solidaritätsbewegung), einer spezifischen anarchistischen
Organisation in Irland.
