Anti-Imperialist Anarchist Contingent of the “St. Pat’s For All” St.
Patrick’s Day Parade in Queens is meeting at 43rd Street and Skillman
Avenue in Sunnyside at 12p.m. Sunday, March 6, 2005. Look for the green
and black flags and the Rude Mechanical Orchestra who we will be marching with.
The parade begins at 12.30p.m. the parade's official banners will be honoring
leaders from our past and present, including anarchists Mother Jones and Dorothy Day.
The focus of the Anti-Imperialist Anarchist Contingent will be ending the
occupation from Iraq to Palestine to Ireland, and beyond.
Our message will be relayed through banners, chants, and fliers. Participants
are encouraged to dress in all black and wear green bandannas. Fire performers,
tall bikers, stilt walkers, and the high-energy beats of the Rude Mechanical
Orchestra will make it a festive and fun time for participants and spectators
a like.
