The International Workers Association (IWA) the Anarcho-Syndicalist international
held its 22nd Congress on the 3rd, 4th, 5th and 6th of December 2004 in Granada in Spain.
Held during what the AIT/IWA see as "dramatic circumstances" caused by contemporary
capitalism WCR hope to be printing an interview with the International Secretary
of the IWAs British section the Solidarity Federation in our next issue.
The slogan adopted for the 22nd Congress was, No War between People - No Peace
between Classes and delegates from the Sections and Friends of the IWA will be
discussed: militarist and repressive capitalism, the failure of the reformist
unions, the flexibilization of the labour market, the defence and expansion of
the anarcho-syndicalism and the IWA, and the need for direct action and
international solidarity - for workers self-emancipation!
