As part of a national tour, three female migrant workers come to
Montreal to speak out on their Canadian ordeal.
Wednesday, Sept 15th 7PM Room H-110, Hall Bldg Concordia University,
1455 rue de Maisonnueve W. metro Guy Concordia
FIESTA and MUSIC at 10PM. REGGIE'S PUB. $5.
For the first time, migrant workers explain how they suffer while taking
part in seasonal migrant worker programs that leave workers unable to
fight for their rights, while being exploited and abandonned in the
canadian countryside. This, while making an essential contribution to
sectors of the Canadian economy that often go ignored.

Three Mexican women will be giving a first-hand account of how they were
brought to take part in a new experimental seasonal migrant workers
program of employer-controlled conditions. Coming from rural backgrounds,
these women have suffered conditions they had never expected in a rich and
modern country like Canada.

While most migrant workers living in Canada avoid public denunciations and
accept abusive conditions, for fear of being forever kicked out of their
program, these women have courageusly decided to fight for their rights
and talk publicly about the new Canadian enslavement of foreign workers.

Translation: Spanish to English.

Workers, Mexico-Montreal Committee, CLAC Amerique Latine & No One Is
Illegal.
