Just pasting info from Thessaloniki indymedia-for more info look
there. There is many solidarity actions going on,especially in
Thessaloniki. Last Saturday in Athens there was 200 persons strong
anarchist demo going to headquarters of "Klonatex" firm, to which Trikolan
belongs.Despite strong presence of riot police red paintbombs been
thrown at facade of the building and at the cops.
---- The clothing factory "Tricolan" has been occupied
The clothing factory "Tricolan", in Naoussa, has been occupied for more
than a month; the workers resist their involuntary dismissal by the
corporation's owner, following the factory's closure. The 95 workers,
man and women, most of whom had been working there for the last 20
years, denounce their former employer that fired them, so as to expand
the company’s activities elsewhere to the Balkans, to the nearby
countries offering cheap labour and non-existent working rights. The
workers are outraged because of the fake promises given by many
politicians, the hypocritical attitude of the majority of the General
Workers' Union and the shameless behaviour of the mass media.

The case of Tricolan industry serves as an advanced notice, reflecting
the ongoing situation in the city Naoussa. The non-stop closure of
dozens of factories, during the last years, urges a death knell for the
so-called textile industry city", as most textile workers have already
been laid off. At the same time, the corporations continue their
corporate activities through smart management manipulations, aided by
financial factors and the government.
