At the end of 2003, Luta Libertaria began a series of internal debates and
reflections with the aim of coming up with a Charter of Principles. The
debates, however, soon went in a different direction and we realized that what
we were creating was not a simple Charter of Principles, but a sketch of a political
project. At that point, we gathered the documents resulting from the debates into one
document, "Socialismo Libertário, um projeto em construção" [Libertarian Socialism, a
project in the making -tr.]. Far from being a finished work, this document aims at
setting out and promoting a debate on the world in which we live, and seks to raise
questions regarding the processes of change in society, analyses and debating points
regarding a possible project for Libertarian Socialism.
