Dear all, The dissent against the American attack on Fallujah goes louder and
louder. Last night an unidentified anarchist group called Global Intifada
targeted the Weapon manufacturer of Aimpoint in Malmoe, Sweden, in a
direct action against the company’s involvement in supplying American
terror squads. The attack was in occurrence with other direct actions in
Gothenburg and Stockholm by the same network. To see the pictures of it please
log on to http://beirut.indymedia.org/fr/2004/11/1913.shtml
Please spread as wide as possible, and feel free to copycat and tailor
to your own location. Let us make the noise louder! I-Mad!

Greetings from Fallujah / Aiming at Aimpoint, and hitting the target

from Global Intifada - 12.11.2004 14:38

A group of Anarchists under the operation name of Global
Intifada – a group that had previously targeted companies that
support war and occupation such as Cramo that is owned by
Caterpillar; targeted the Swedish weapons manufacturer of
Aimpoint yesterday night. This action comes in retaliation to the
ongoing human rights violations of the British and American
forces in Fallujah. This is not the first time that Aimpoint is
targeted in Sweden. Three weeks ago the company’s windows
in Malmoe to the south of Sweden were smashed in protest of its
involvement in crimes against humanity. The company is a high
profile manufacturer of red dot sighting technology catering to
American troops spreading terror in Iraq and Afghanistan.

Links to similar actions but from different groups, yet not less
louder

Aimpoint CompM2 (M68) The viewfinder supplied to the US terror troops

Greetings from Fallujah! A small reminder of the crime!

Dolls left behind to tell the stories of the Aimpoint murder

As Aimpoint’s website notes “Aimpoint AB is pleased
and proud to announce that the US Army has once again selected
the CompM2 (M68) passive Red Dot Sight system from Aimpoint
AB to go with their M4 carbines and their M16 rifles.

The order is for almost 70,000 Red Dot Sights to be supplied over
the coming 10 months. The order is an amendment to current
contracts with the US Army, within which Aimpoint has
previously supplied near 200,000 M68 sights.

This contract with the US Army is the largest single order for
small arms optical sights in the world. Aimpoint AB, a part of the
Swedish GS-Development Group, has previously won similarly
large contracts to supply the French Army, the Swedish Army, the
Italian Army and continues to supply Special Forces and Law
Enforcement world wide.

“Since 1997, we have monthly delivered an important amount
of sights to the US Army. Being and remaining a supplier to the
US Army year after year is a sign that Aimpoint is a reliable
company, maintaining its position at the fore front of the
technology with high quality products and delivery precision. And
it is our intention to continue in this way – as a reliable
supplier to dedicated professionals.,” says Lennart Ljungfelt at
Aimpoint AB.”

Putting weapons or weapon accessories in the hands of American
military is not just a trade; it is supplying terrorist régimes
worldwide affecting the lives of billions of people. We all still
remember the acts of Al Qaeda, the former adopted son of the US
administration, or dictators such as Pinochet and Saddam
Hussein committing endless atrocities against their own people
under the blessing of the land of “freedom”.

The harm of the American military goes beyond humans to
include the environment and the very essence of the earth; their
deployment of uranium in Iraq and Afghanistan does not only
affect the currently living but goes beyond that to generations
ahead. Without the help of such companies the work of the troops
will not be as smooth.

The viewfinders made by Aimpoint make it possible for American
snipers to shoot targets even in the darkest pits; targets that in
most cases were/ are ambulances, civilians and children. The last
time the American occupation forces attacked Fallujah the
common targets were ambulances, hospitals and families. As you
are reading this, the viewfinders manufactured by Aimpoint are
the eyes of American soldiers “going across the city from one
end to the other, and not stopping before finishing it off” –
rephrasing statements of the American military concerning
Fallujah.

The activists broke in for the second time smashing windows with
the use of glass bottles filled with blueberry juice, a small
reminder of the blood being spilled on a daily basis - thanks to
companies such as Aimpoint. The action involved placing five
dolls at the entrance with five cards attached to them. Every card
carried a story of a child killed by American weapons leaving his/
her toy behind. The toys were a reminder to the employees of the
horrific crimes committed using stuff that they make… daily.
One of the messages read “Mohamed has been forced to flee
from the horrific violence in Falluja and has not had time to
properly mourn his 3 year-old daughter who was killed by an
Aimpoint-equipped American weapon only a week ago. This is
the only thing he has to remember her by.”

On the door the activists left a sign reading “Take the day off
and reconsider your career choices”, a final call for employees
who are still determined to participate in the ongoing massacres
around the world. And for those still insisting to violate human
rights, a small surprise was left around the door knobs consisting
of a metal chain and locks. It might not be perpetually, but it will
surely hold back this machine of terror for a bit of time, maybe till
someone else decides to take action against it... again and again!

The action was signed “Greetings from Fallujah” in
dedication to the people of Fallujah currently under attack by
American forces with the collaboration of the killing squads of
Tony Blair. This is will not be the last time activists target
manufacturer of terror machines, but it surely be towards the first
steps of escalation.

Similar actions took place in Stockholm and Gothenburg More
news to come on that.

No reported cases of arrest so far!
