ANARCHISM & MARXISM IN THE RUSSIAN & SPANISH REVOLUTIONS 8-session class series,
led by Wayne Price, at the Brecht Forum 7:30 to 9:30, beginning MONDAY, April 5th
Revolutionaries study revolutions. There is no better test of the value
of a revolutionary theory than the practice of actual revolutions. The
interrelations of ANARCHISM and MARXISM--how they affected each other,
what were their strengths and weaknesses--can be studied by focusing on
two revolutions which were turning points in world history. These were
the Russian Revolution of 1917 and the Spanish Revolution/Civil War of
1936. Possible models of working class revolutions will be discussed.
A photocopied book of readings will be available.

The Brecht Forum is at 122 West 27th St. (10th floor), between 6th and
7th Ave.

Sliding scale: $65- $85; first session may be taken separately; no one
turned away
