March 20th 2004, Denver Colorado, after a permitted march to,
and rally at the federal Building, youth and anti-imperialists
formed a small bloc of people who desired a more radical approach
to confronting US imperialism. After convening at the corner of
19th and stout, the march proceeded on the side walk until the
corner of 18th st. stopping for a moment and bouncing up and
down chanting “we fired up! Won’t take no more!”
and then running full speed to 17th st ( the financial bank district
of Denver). The march transformed more into a mass than a bloc
as people spread out across the street and on the sidewalk. Around
60 people, a very small number then attacked banks and symbols
of capitalism and corporate media with spray paint and markers
scrawling the slogans “No war!” “Oil war?”
“Smash bush!” anarchist symbols, and “revolt
now!” on windows and walls and media boxes. Also a report
of a destroyed ATM at a bank has been confirmed on the corner of
stout and 17th. The mass then dispersed through out downtown,
while clusters were being chased by police through alleys and
through the 16th st mall. Around 20-30 people clustered together
again and started marching through the mall, and were blocked off
by 2 motor cycles while more police showed up to create barrier. 3
people were arrested. 1 Muslim womyn was harassed and arrested
for not removing a veil they called a mask. She also was denied
access to a womyn officer, as it is disrespectful for a Muslim
womyn to be handled by men the way she was. An out of towner
was shoved off his bike and hit his head on a handicapped parking
sing and then was tacked and arrested, and a local anarchist was
grabbed on the corner of 16th and California and arrested.

This action while small and short provides a starting point and
inspiration for radicals. A very small group of committed people
were able to channel a chaotic energy and manifest it in a quick
riotous rampage through a small region of the city causing
financial damage to capitalist entities and creating a slight
example for what is coming next.
