The Really REALLY Democratic Bazaar is an opportunity for all of us
to manifest and celebrate our imaginations and skills, our communities
and our inter-connections, our diversity and our autonomy, our love and
our freedom. The Bazaar is a place to demonstrate the realms of creativity
that already exist within and around each of us. It will be a public
gathering space at which we can share our practices and visions of a better
world in the form of a free, celebratory, open-air, public "market." The
Bazaar will be one action among many throughout the Democratic National
Convention (DNC) mobilization in Boston. We will create it together on
Tuesday, July 27th on the Boston Common, from 12pm until 8pm.

The Really REALLY is created by YOU!

The substance of the Bazaar will be created by the self-organization of
the participants themselves. This event challenges us all to move from
being passive observers to being active participants. Everyone is invited
and encouraged to come set up a "booth" at the Bazaar that
expresses their visions and practices of a better world. These booths
can range from the extremely elaborate to the astonishingly simple
they will be spaces in which people can offer free gifts of all
kinds; share food, stories, art and ideas; barter goods and services,
receive and give thanks; and demonstrate our diverse opposition to the
empire by proclaiming that other worlds are already being created.

This is a call to all of you who support our movements and
mobilizations from the bottom-up and the inside-out: Food Not
Bombs, medics and care-givers, legal teams, independent media, living
collectives, direct-democracy organizers, alternative energy and
transportation visionaries, and affinity groups, families, individuals and
organizations who are working towards solidarity and
community-based alternatives. This is also a call to action for all of you
who value life before profit, generosity instead of greed, and
community without isolation. It is a call for folks who love to teach,
share, give, and work toward a life of mutual aid and economic
freedom. You all are invited to share and celebrate your work while
connecting it to the work of many others.

Here are some examples of possible booths (it's up to YOU to make
them happen!)

Free schools, skill shares, DIY
Bike maintenance/repair
Anti-oppression/anti-racism workshops
Silk screening, costume making
Food Not Bombs and other yummy offerings
Giving out tokens of appreciation; redefining value, giving out
seeds, books, stickers, cloth, handmade items, herbal teas, clothes,
visual art, music, community currency, hugs, potted plants, etc.
Free haircuts
Street music, storytelling, poetry, spoken word, drama, clowns,
puppetry, people in costumes, acrobats, contortionists, stilt walkers,
fire eaters ...
Free box (give away items)
Mobile pirate radio (bike-powered?)
Free child care
Mobile composting toilets (like "Give a Shit for the Revolution!")
Community currencies
Ritual spaces
Free medical care
Free legal advice
Piatas, puppets and other forms of street theatrics
Free Software
Free Wireless
Free books
Alternative forms of energy

This is SELF-ORGANIZATION--REAL Democracy--at it's best! We
ask that you and/or your group be entirely responsible for the creation,
set-up, and take-down of your own booth. This will allow for incredible
spontaneity, creativity and flexibility at the event. Autonomy will be
manifested at every level and the results will be more powerful than any
centralized committee could have ever created! How You Can Help
Make This Happen

Get your affinity group, community, family or friends together and
begin to self organize for this event. Brainstorm ideas and create your
booth! Let us know you are coming!

If you know you're coming and you'd like to RSVP, please send an
email to: bazaar@blackteasociety.org

See you there!
