The Crossroads Infoshop and Radical Bookstore opened on Friday night in
downtown Kansas City, as part of the monthly "First Friday" event held
in the Crossroads District of Kansas City. The new infoshop and
bookstore features books, magazines and materials from the radical left.
The space is a worker-owned cooperative which is pursuing affiliation
with the IWW as a unionized workplace.
The need for a space like Crossroads was evident on Friday night when
over 500 people turned out for our opening gala. Thanks to the work of a
kick ass collective of people who put together the infoshop in a
whirlwind of two weeks of sweat and planning, several hundred people
enjoyed live music, books, and refreshments. Several dozen more people
visited the space on Saturday and Sunday, despite the fact that the
bookstore has yet to establish regular hours.

The Crossroads Infoshop and Radical Bookstore will be expanding our
selection of books, magazines, videos, music, and more in coming months.
The space features ongoing exhibitions of art. Crossroads will be
holding a radical film night in a few weeks and we are planning to hold
concerts and speaking events around Kansas City.

Chuck0 is part of the Crossroads Infoshop collective.
