February 22, 2004, Shibuya, Tokyo, Japan. Against Street
Control organized its sixth rave-demo against the dispatch
of Self-Defense Force to Iraq. There is less police than the
last time and about 1300 people demonstrated, dancing to the
music including Stoogies and Discharge, and to the drum beat.
Here are some pictures:

The Against Street Control is composed of DJs, underground hip hop
rappers, music critics, and non-sect radicals like anarchists and
autonomists like ACAers (Anti-Capitalism Action) who have participated in
anti-war movements.Dozens of DJs who got bored with chanting style
demonstrations throughout the last year, and radicals who divagete from
conventional leftist regimental movements got together and started the rave style
demonstration.Streets have only one meaning in a society which has a part in war(s):
transportation route for keeping the daily lives which maintain the war
footing. The rave demonstraion started to recapture the original meaning
of streets. That is, streets are the places of expressing ourselves and
encountering with others.
