Matzpen was started in Israel, at 1962, and was the first antiauthoritarian
anticapitalist organization with principled analysis and rejectiob of Zionism.
Though it comptized with less than 50 (Jews and Palestinians) activists,
it destroyed the solid Jewish sopport to Zionism (which included even
the local Communist Party). It was more pains to the ruling elite
after the 1967 war as we got world wide coverage and it eroded their
effort to equat anti Zionism with antishemitism.
The late 60s and the 70s were the pick years of activity and influence.
The film which was done last few years by a sympathizer interviews
members of Matspen and interntionalist activists prominent in the struggle.

Israel / 2003 / Video / Colour - B&W / 54 min / Dir.: Eran Torbiner
A documentary on the small Israeli socialist organization Matzpen and
how their anti-Zionist stance was considered a threat to the Israeli
political and social consensus in the late sixties and early seventies.
