________________________________________________
In an article in the January 1938 issue of "Reveil anarchiste/Risveglio
anarchico", we have found the names of three French women who were
probably members of the Italian group in the Ascaso Column in January
1937. Their names are Lucienne Mercier (who was later injured in May
1937 in Barcelona), Marinette and Louise Crottier. These name do not
appear in any known list of French or foreign volunteers in Spain, nor
do they appear in Maitron's dictionary. Does anyone have any
information at all regarding them?
Thanks in advance,
Marianne
