Who are we? http://www.worldincommon.org/
We are a network of people committed to inspiring a vision of an
alternative way of living where all the world's resources are owned in
common and democratically controlled by communities on an ecologically
sustainable and socially harmonious basis. We believe such a society will
no longer require money, markets or states and can only be established
democratically from the bottom up without the intervention of politicians
or leaders. We call on anyone broadly sympathetic to our aims to join
with us to help build a strong, inclusive and principled movement for
radical change in a spirit of cooperation, friendship and solidarity.

As you may already know, the World in Common group (est 2002) has
been trying to set up a comprehensive list of organisations that fall
within what is loosely called the "non-market, anti-statist sector" -
in short, the revolutionary movement of today. This is compromised
of many different strands of thinking: anarcho-communists, world
socialists, anarcho-syndicalists, bordigists, council communists,
libertarian municipalists, socialist industrial unionists, left
communists and others

If your organisation/forum falls within this broad category and if
you would like to be listed in our contacts pages, you are more than
welcome to get in touch with us . Please visit our website at
http://www.worldincommon.org/ and click on "contact list"

We now have 3 forums

http://groups.yahoo.com/group/commoner - the internal
decisionmaking forum of WiC
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/worldincommon/ - a forum for people in
our sector
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/WiCopendebate - a forum for the general

You are more than welcome to visit and hopefully join!

Common Voice is our electronic journal. Issue number 1 has been
published and we are assembling material for issue no.2 . However,
we still need more material for subsequent issues.

If you would like to contribute an article/letter/review please do
so; it would be much appreciated! Information regarding Common Voice
can be found at http://www.commonvoice.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/index.htm

We look forward to hearing from you.

In the meanwhile, our regards to you

ABOUT COMMON VOICE http://www.commonvoice.pwp.blueyonder.co.uk/index.htm

Welcome to the first issue of Common Voice, a journal published
by the World in Common group. The journal is inspired by the
Discussion Bulletin published for many years by Frank Girard but
which regrettably ceased publication in 2003. Like Frank's journal
our aim is to give a voice to the 'thin red/black line' of the
anti-market, anti-statist political sector, weaving together its
diverse strands of thinking.

We hope that each issue of Common Voice will have a main
theme as its focus although we will be seeking contributions on all
topics of relevance to the anti-market, anti-state political sector.
The broad theme of this first issue is Ecology/Environmentalism.
We sought contributions from nearly 75 organisations and
individuals and were delighted with the response - we hope you
will be equally happy with the articles, book reviews, poem and
extensive contact list that we have chosen to represent our
inaugural issue. Some of the topics we are considering for
upcoming issues include 'the future society in the present',
'war/anti-war', 'feminism', 'human nature' and 'class,
communism and democracy.' Please see our submissions link on
the left for more details of how to contribute to future issues of
Common Voice.

We hope that readers will send in their comments and letters on
this issue. Please send contributions - via e-mail if possible - to:
