Hello everyone! Long time passed since WARHEAD appeared
last time. It was result of many things together and I dont want to
go deeper into that subject. This time some quick news from Poland
5th edition of Grilz in Action festival in Bialystok
On 27th of Septemebr there was 5th edition of anarcha-feminist
festival Girlz in Action on DeCentrum squat in Bialystok. About
150 people attended concert and exhibitions in squat's gallery.
Before the concert about 20 nazis coming back from soccer match
attacked members of one band, when they were shopping. In a
fight that was short but intense 3 people from band and 1 or 2
nazis had been injured. Intervening antifa team got caught in fight
with old footbal hooligans , who took them for hooligans from
opposite team. Fortunately anti-fascist managed to defend
themselves good and left some bloodied hooligans behind ,
suffering only minor bruises themselves.

Unfortunately many events planned for festival didnt work out
because people, who were invited to do them failed completely.
During a concert all squat was full of pro-choice and pro-women
rights messages.

Antifa Actions in Bialystok

Due to fact that local nazis became active again, local antifa
starts anti-fascist patrols again on the city. Mobilization of people
for Food Not Bombs action was good (2 previous action had been
approached by nazis and people decided that they can't let any
fight happen on that kind of action) but this time nazis didnt come,
probably becasue of fact that one of their leaders was badly
injured in fight 2 days before.

2 days before (3rd of October) nazis attacked one person outside
squat. Reaction of antifa was rather quick and 15 minutes later
group of 12 nazis was attacked by 5 anti-fascists i na centre of
city. Nazis were taken by surprise and started retreating, but due
to advantage of numbers, pushed anti-fascist back. Bricks, trash
cans, sticks and gas throweres had been used. 3 anti-fascist
suffered minor wounds, at least 4 nazis were also wounded, one
of them more serious. 3 antifas and 2 nazis had been detained for
1 hours by cops. There is possibility that they will receive fines
for breaking of public order.

In another action one nazi skinhead had been attacked outside one
of school, where he came to visit his girlfirend. Cops stopped
anti-fascist from dealing with 2 of his friends also.

Miners rioting in Warsaw!

In the middle of Septemebr thousands of miners came to capital to
protest government's plans to close coal pits. As a result of that
thousands of miners will loose their jobs with no big chances to
get something in exchange. As usual government is trying to fool
everyone that this is in their interest and all similar shit.

This time, despite of attempts of union's bosses to keep protest
peaceful, miners alsmost immadietely attacked office of ruling
party SLD, breaking all windows there and throwing paint bombs
on building. When they came to Ministry of Interior they also
attacked building and some time later cops guarding it. Molotov
coctails had been used, setting few cops on fire. There was also
lots of objects thrown on cops, slingshots being used and lots of
hand to hand fights. Few police cars and wattercannon (!) had
been damaged. Over 30 cops landed in hospital, few of them in
critical condtition. Unknown number of miners also had been
injured, but many of them didnt report to hospitals in fear of being
arrested. 9 had been detained and charged with attack on
policemen and destroying government property.

After that riot union leaders were rushing to deny their
responsibility for anything and claiming that riots were started by
provocateurs . Almost all newspapers condemned rioters and TV
was full of pictures of poor cops laying in hospital. Only few
comments said that miners are totally desperate.

It is good thing to see that miners finally stopped having illusion
about government and that they are ready to defend themselves
by any means neccessary. We hope to see explosion of class war
in Silesia and solidarity from other workers. Currently few mines
are occupied and big wave of strikes is expected. WARHEAD
will keep you informed about situation.
