Hi,
Please find, as text and attached, the latest and long
overdue Jura Books Newsletter. Regards, Sid.
Anarchist Newsletter………… for JURA BOOKS

Hi again,
It's been a long time between newsletters due to study
and family commitments…Firstly, the 25th birthday
celebrations last November went really well. Events
were held at Jura and then at an evening dinner. About
40 - 50 people turned up to one or both venues, with
special thanks to Grahame Harrison (book launch),
Porca Madona (comedy and music), Gerardo (song),
Maurie O'Connor (testimony), Leanne (a visual history
of Jura & vino) Mike (vino), Peter (vino &
organisation) John Wilkinson & Colin Charlton (song)
for the occasion. Thanks to the workers in the kitchen
- the food was great.

December came as usual with a high sales month.
Biggest news has been the addition of three members to
the collective - welcome Mark, Annette and Paul. With
Nick still a provisional member as he's on holidays.
This has allowed us to open up the shop more and the
hours will continue to expand.

Another great advance is the huge amount of work that
about 10 members of Love and Rage have been doing to
set up the Fanya Baron Library again. There's a lot of
work to be done before it can be opened up. The new
focus will be something like 'Fanya Baron Library and
Libertarian Research Centre'. Shelves have been put
up, books are being arranged into categories and
periodicals are slowly getting sorted out. Thanks to
George and Mary for keeping the library in their
garage for the last couple of years.

A library collective is now active and is asking for
helpers.
Work has also been started on setting up the back room
into a workers resource centre. More news on this
later.
The Peace rally on Sunday 16th of Feb was great & saw
the Jura stall sell about $600 worth of stuff and,
more importantly, make good contacts, with 1,000 Jura
leaflets handed out.
