Hi,
People in Riga joined F15 protests, too.
At 12.00 more than 50 people, mostly youngsters (anarchists, HC sceners etc.
alternative people), gathered near US embassy. and started a march through the
center of Riga. during the march people were joining it and leaving. at the
maxium there was about 100 people marching through the city with red&black
flags, banners against war and different percussion stuff to make more noize.
we had also antiwar leaflets to spread among people.

thats a good number for Riga if you take into account that this is one of the
first activities where anarchists demonstrate.

at 14.00 march returned back to US embasy where picket organized some NGO
called "movement for neitrality" took place. so the marchers joined it and took
the first row leaving socialists/communist (statists, who organized that
pichet) behind. :) they were angry about that, of course. Up to 300 people took
part in the picket.

unfortunately thare was really poor coverage of those activities in mass media
some words about official picket (the one which was declared to authorities)
and almoust nothing said about the march. only news agency LETA mentioned that
also anarchists were among protesters.

as i noticed lot of people filmed march and took photos of it. also police
(especially state security police) shoved great interest about march (probably
abbout marchers though). According to LETA, police will decide if they wil
charge anyone for organizing the protest.

Atis

p.s. unfortunately no photos/video availible yet. :(
