A-Infos (en) Spain, CNT-AIT Sanitation workers end strike

The Union Section of the Cleaning Workers of Tomares, Spain ended their 134
day strike. The stike was directed at both a private company contracted by
local socialist municipal government for garbage cleaning services.

According to the Union Section they have signed an agreement with the
company Ferrovial Servicios, S.A.

In addition to various economic terms, the workers beat back attempts to
dicharge workers for strike activities. Cetain short term gains were made in
regards to temporary employment workers.Guaranted employment was a big issue
in the strike. The workers were not able to secure long term job guarantees
"but our greater guarantee is the force and solidarity that we have
demonstrated throughout the conflict. Now they know that we are strong and
no one will be able ...to crush us."
