Love and Rage Records - Australia's only anarchist, non-profit record
label presents...

"Love and Rage, volume 1"
Hip hop, techno, metal, punk, reggae and more ... Because 'alternative'
should be more than just a marketing concept. 20 songs, plus a bonus
collection of anarchist writing (readable on most computers).

The address to order is PO Box 1191, Richmond North VIC 3121, AUSTRALIA.
Please send a cheque, money order or well-concealed cash.

Price is $10 in Australia, $15 in New Zealand, $10 in the USA, $10 in
Canada, 5 pounds in Britain, or 10 euros in the rest of Europe. Other
countries, or enquiries from shops and distroes, email us and ask.

If you send a cheque or money order, please make it payable to "J.
Hutchings".

The CD features...

No WTO Combo: "Let's Lynch the Landlord" - Jello Biafra from the Dead
Kennedys, Krist Novoselic from Nirvana and Kim Thayil from Soundgarden
performing live, at a gig held during the famous Seattle protests in 1999.

Snog: "Corporate Slave" - Australian dark electronica legends.

David Rovics: "We Are Everywhere" - The song is referring to radicals, not
to bearded, acoustic-guitar toting protest singers. Do we really need
another one? If that other one is David Rovics, then yes. Yes we do.

Curse ov Dialect: "Forces ov Hatred" - Innovative, angry Australian hip-hop.

Jekkyl Switch: "Salary Man" - Equally innovative, equally political, but in
every other way not the same at all. If you thought no metal bands used
keyboards and vocoders, you were wrong. By one.

EyeResist: "Saints" - hard electronica with excellent samples.

Ginger Tom: "United" - Go Betweens/Paul Kelly-ish acoustic indie music from
Sydney.

Tazumal: "The Patriot" - Mexican-American metal.

Durutti: "The Workers United" - industrial/techno.

Skreech: "Death to the Government" - The most hard-rocking song ever
recorded by a solo acoustic guitarist. You won't believe that him and David
Rovics are playing the same instrument.

Zearle: "Prophets of Profit" - if Eminem was for real he'd be this guy.
Hip-hop from the belly of the Beast.

Lost Cause: "Anti-War" - Blink 182/Offspring/Bad Religion style pop punk.

Eye: "Mandate" - Australian Prime Minister John Howard has never sounded so
evil. Ha! Of course he has, he's never sounded anything other than evil.
But he's never came out and said "hey everyone, I'm evil". Until now.

Sabcats: "The Good Fight" - no Jah, no master. Melbourne's only anarchist
reggae band.

Che Chapter 127: "Kill the Ones Who Question" - This song isn't talking
about the ones who question the value of this female-fronted Canadian punk
band. Those ones are to be pitied, and treated with charity.

Non-Bossy Posse: "Catalyst" - thumping techno featuring the vocal stylings
of right-wing radio host Alan Jones.

Andrew Bunney: "12 Years" - Melancholy folk-ish alternative music from
Adelaide.

Urban Guerillas: "Here Come the Americans" - Classic Australian rock.

Propagandhi: "The Only Good Fascist Is A Very Dead Fascist" - Canadian pop
punk.

Bakunin's Bum: "How Far Are You Willing To Go?" - Oo-er missus, sounds a bit
rude. In fact it's textured electronica with violins. From the band that
couldn't think of a name, because they spent so much time producing their
song.

Look out for volume 2, out soon (er, hopefully) - featuring Chumbawamba, ska
band the Adjusters, and many more...
