Lets take back our streets for FUN!!
here is my call to action

Lets discard our shells- Lets ditch our 
cars - Lets dance on the streets

RECLAIM THE STREETS  ...Saturday 
Nov 2nd, Midday, Meet at Belmore Park

Whilst we live more busy lives
We are paralysed
by the media, by our jobs, by our empty communities.
whilst our lives are silently taken over by corporations.

When can we wake up?
Will we ask the government's permission? ( sarcasm )
Will it be too late?

Let's reclaim our agency- and stand up against inevitability,
vicious cycles, spirals of poverty, privatisation of public space.

And take back that space
amid the car-choked arteries of our city
where the streets pulse like a machine,
We'll attack the heart of disconnection:
Consumerism, economic domination
by dancing and playing on the streets.

Reclaim our streets, Reclaim our lives, Reclaim our world
Midday Nov 2nd Belmore Park (near Central) and then onto the streets..

bring board games, deck chairs, chardonnay, 
plants, chalk, picnics, friends, and
make the streets human again!

this event also coincides with The official 
OPENING CEREMONY of World Trade
Organisation festivities:
Special Guest, Phillip Ruddock cutting the barbed wire
Madonna with an exclusive appearance
A boxing match between Sydney City Council 
and South Sydney Council.

We will carry on this spirit to the 
WTO actions on Nov 14-15,
because we KNOW that dancing makes 
Mark Vaile TREMBLE in his boots.
